I believe great fundraisers are developed - not just trained.
I'm passionate about helping fundraisers grow their skills, confidence and approach to building meaningful relationships with benefactors. My work is shaped by my own journey through advancement - from marketing and annual giving to frontline fundraising, training and managing a team - as well as my research into discovery work and fundraising best practices.
Since joining the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus as a development officer in 2018, I've experienced fundraising from the front lines and from a manager perspective. Today, I coach and develop fundraisers focused on building benefactor relationships, strengthening discovery work practices, growing portfolios and creating sustainable pathways for philanthropic impact - while continuing to stay connected to the work myself with a portfolio of my own.
Before CU Anschutz, I led Cleveland Clinic’s direct mail program, helping evolve the program toward stronger pipeline development and impact-focused communication. I began my career at The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) in marking and advancement after graduating in 2012.
Throughout my career, one thing has remained consistent: I believe fundraising is a craft that grows through practice, reflection, feedback and intentional development. My goal is to help fundraisers not only learn what to do, but understand why it works - and build the confidence to make it their own.
Outside of work, you'll find me exploring the mountains on foot, riding my bike, cooking healthy recipes and embracing all things mental health. I'm a big fan of Taylor Swift, Harry Potter and the occasional glass of red wine. I'm grateful to my husband, our rescue dog and our son for sharing this adventure with me.
