I refer to frontline fundraising as a “calling," and I believe in the power of people.
I bring my passion for education around the “how-to” of this work through my personal experiences transitioning from annual giving to frontline fundraising and through my research for a capstone project about discovery work best practices. I started as a gift officer at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in 2018. In July 2023, I expanded my role. Now, I lead and coach a team of frontline fundraisers who have a unique part of their role - focusing on the important work of retaining and growing the giving at the bottom of the pyramid. I also continue to spend a part of my time with my “boots on the ground” managing a portfolio of major gift benefactors. Prior to CU Anschutz, I managed Cleveland Clinic’s direct mail program where I proposed and implemented a transformational change to the annual fund to focus on pipeline development and impact reporting. I started my career at The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) working in marketing and advancement roles right after graduating in 2012.
On a more personal note, I enjoy being active outside and in the mountains solo or with my family. You can also find me cooking up healthy meals in the kitchen or getting a workout in at Crossfit. I'm an advocate for mental + physical health and wellness, all things Taylor Swift, the wizarding world of Harry Potter and the occasional glass of red wine. And a shout out to my husband, our rescue dog, and our son for being wonderful and adventuring through this life with me.
